8/11/08 - 7 Weeks Old!

Ben is 7 weeks old today. He is over 9 lbs. He is beginning to coo and smile!

8/9/08 - Ben Watches Grandpa Ek Break Yet Another State Record!

This past Saturday, Benjamin went to his first regional weight lifting competion where he watched his Grandpa Ek compete in the deadlift and break (yet another) state record lifting 573 lbs. Not to shabby for a 59 year old!! We so proud of you Grandpa!

8/7/08 - Ben's New Home

We moved into our new home this week. Ben seems to like his new house. His room is coming along and will be super cute when it's done. We got the crib set up and Ben slept in it for the fisrt time Thursday night. He slept from 11pm to 5:30a.m. I would say he likes it. Too bad he doesn't sleep that well every night but we can't complain..he does really well.

As far as the rest of the house goes....in between changing diapers and feeding the little one, we are slowly but surely getting everything unpacked.

7/14/08 - New Bouncy Chair

Benjamin loves to hang out in his new rock and roll bouncy chair. Rock on dudes!

7/8/08 - Ben's First Visit with Great Grandma

Ben is Grandma's 18th Great Grandchild. Grandma was absolutely elated to meet Ben and loves to hold him! She kept saying he is perfect and I do have to agree with her!

7/5/08 - Ben's First Trip to Ojeda's

Ben made his first trip to Ojeda's (one of our favorite Mexican restaurants). We met Grandma and Grandpa there and introduced the little munchkin to some of the best salsa in town and a signature dish... Enchiladas de Fajitas.

7/5/08 - Ben's Old Home (For the First Two Weeks of His Life)

We moved in with my parents Friday, 7/4 and came back to our home Saturday, 7/5 to finish up a few things. After we finished the house, we headed to our neighborhood pool for some fun in the sun and to cool off. We have found if we put Ben under some shade he LOVES to be outside in the warm weather.
