Eric and I arrived at the hospital on Sunday, June 22 at 6 p.m. We got into our labor and delivery room at 7 p.m. (we would have gotten into our room earlier however, we waited for a room with a flat screen TV...because that is important! LOL.) The nurses began inducing me at 8 p.m. and started patosin at 4:30 a.m. The doctor brok my water at 8:15 a.m. and let the games begin. Contractions were in full effect. I got an epideral at 11:30 a.m. and all was well. Contractions continued to peek and where 1 minute apart. By 3:30 p.m. I was stuck at 5 cm and not making any progress so the decision was made to have a C-section. By 4 pm. I was on the operating table and at 4:38 p.m., Benjamin Robert Brickler made his appearance into the world. He weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and is 20" long ande came out with a full head of dark wavy hair (clearly taking after his mother's side). He is absolutly perfect and we are thrilled he is here!
